This competition is open to all contestants
Entry Fee £10
- Each team comprises 6 pulling members and 1 coach
- There is no weigh in
- Each round is best of three pulls
- Teams change end on completion of each pull
- Teams should report 15 minutes before the start of the event (Time to be advised by stewards on the day)
- No raised heel plates, crampons, spikes or protrusions and no gloves to be worn
- Teams must be suitably dressed and all dressed the same
- Rope Marking - 3 tapes - colourful mark at centre - 2 white approx 4m on either end
- Pull shall be won when one of the side markers is pulled past the judges' marker
- All team members must pay entry to the showfield

Open to Neilston and Uplawmoor Public Houses Only
- Maximum of 1 team per Public House.
- Each team comprises 7 members and 1 reserve.
- Each round is best of three pulls.
- Team Lists should be submitted one week before the show to the appropriate Neilston Show Committee Member and should comprise bar staff and/or regular clients.
- Teams should report 15 minutes before the start of the event. (Time to be advised by stewards on the day)
- No studded/spiked footwear and no gloves to be worn.

The Albar Ladies Pub Challenge Tug-o-war
This is a fun event, where Albar will donate £100 to the winner's favourite charity. It takes place at approx 3:00pm. Rules are as above - except there are 6 members and 1 reserve.
