Ayrshire Cattle Section
Judging will commence at 10:00am Prompt
Class Description Ring
1 Cow in Milk  
2 Cow in Calf (To calve before 1st July)  
3 Quey Derby (Best Quey not exceeding three years in calf or milk)
Winner to receive Plunket Cup
 
4 Quey (Not exceeding three years old and in milk)  
5 Quey in Calf (Two or three years old)  
6 Back Calving Cow (To calve after 1st July)  
7 Cow or Quey in Calf or Milk (Confined to the Show Boundary)  
8 Pair of Cows or Heifers (In calf or milk)  
9 Three female animals  
10 Production Inspection Class

Production Points will be awarded as follows:
One point for every kg of Protein produced in previous lactation not exceeding 305 days with 10 per cent addition for Heifer Lactation. On Show Day the Judge will award points for inspection, which will range between the maximum and minimum points awarded for production
Entries can only be accepted if accompanied by Milk Certificates and Tattoo Marks
 
11 Calf (Born after 1st October 2006)

Calves to be led by children 15 and under. A gift to each leader by William & Tom Thomson, Hon. Vice President & Vice President.
Cup to the leader of the winner by Stewart F. Wilson, Hon. Vice President.
 
12 The Ayrshire Cattle Society offers a Special Prize of a Group Championship Rosette
(Confined to members of the Ayrshire Cattle Society)

For: - A group of three females

Animals registered must be registered in Appendix B, A or fully Pedigree Ayrshire Section of the Herd Book or Appendix Red and White, Pedigree Red & White Section of the Ayrshire Society Herd Book and be at least one quarter Ayrshire. If black & White in colour, animals must be registered in the Herd Book's Pedigree Full Pedigree Ayrshire Section

The Holstein UK offers a Championship Award rosette, prize card and tie to the exhibitor of the female champion. The reserve champion will also receive a rosette and prize card. Exhibitors must be members of HFS and the Society reserves the right to pregnancy diagnose any females where these awards are made.

This Section is co-sponsored by the Scottish Simmental Club and West Cumberland Farmers. Points will be awarded in accordance with the Simmental Society's Rules.

The Scottish Simmental Club will award £20 to the Supreme Champion at each Show and £10 to the Reserve Champion. At the end of the Show Season the exhibitor with the highrst number of aggregate points will receive £40 plus the handsome McCaskie Trophy and the runner up will receive £30.

All prize money will be presented at the Club AGM in October

Both the Supreme and Reserve Simmental Champions will receive 3 x 25kg bags of Galloway MacLeod Bull Mix
